Introducing: The Black Religious Liberty Curriculum

On Tuesday, September 24th, the Law, Rights, and Religion Project is launching an exciting new project over a year in the making. Join us as we introduce the Black Religious Liberty Curriculum – a 12-part video series featuring 24 scholars in conversation on the intersection of race, religion, and the law.

The curriculum is intended to reach beyond the legal academy, educating not just law students and lawyers but also religious studies scholars, historians, theologians, and faith leaders—as well as the broader public—on the ways in which race and anti-Black racism has shaped the fundamental right to religious freedom.

At our launch webinar, join theologian and activist, Dr. Sabrina Dent, religion scholar Dr. Judith Weisenfeld, and attorney Rahmah Abdulaleem as we discuss how a focus on Black communities can help us rethink the meaning of “religious liberty” and how to protect it for everyone.
