Who We Are

The Law, Rights, and Religion Project (LRRP) is a law and policy think tank based at Columbia Law School that promotes freedom of religion, religious pluralism, and social justice. We articulate and defend a vision of religious liberty that works in harmony with–rather than against–other rights, including gender and racial justice. We believe that religious freedom should be liberatory rather than oppressive.

Our work takes the form of legal research and writing, policy advocacy, education, coalition-building, and advocacy support for partner organizations.
